The ground work: a little after becoming ABD, I gained the strength to leave an abusive relationship that left me physically and mentally drained. I also went through personal and familiar tragedies of the death like kind during that same period.
After which I picked myself up and:
Signed three book contacts
Turned in two out of three of those manuscripts (working on that last one! It’s complicated but just today got amazing feedback from the Press!)
Helped a loved one through a tough time
Reengaged with my community and took up volunteer work as an important and weekly practice
Went from being unable to run (due to injury and illness) to running half marathons with 8 minute per mile and under paces
Took up kick boxing
Did 30 days straight of Bikram Yoga
Made new friends and got rid of bad ones
Completed almost 75 percent of the research on my dissertation and wrote almost 3 chapters.
Prepared my materials for job market
Recently started a NEW 30 day challenge with a great group of women!!!
