Folks, it's go big or go home time. Really go big or go back to commuting but hey, you get the idea.
#PhdorBust is my life's new mantra.
I'm on the job market this year which means the Dissertation MUST get done. My goal is to complete and turn in a draft by Wednesday, January 13, 2015. To do this, I pledge to write at least 1 page (single spaced) EVERY SINGLE day for the next 85 days. That's at least 170 new pages and I'm sure/ hope some days I'll write more.
My Dissertation draft for this date, “The Atlantic Borderlands: Mexican American Countercultures of New York City,” will consist of 5 chapters and an introduction as outlined here. Chapter 6 and the epilogue will be added later most likely as the dissertation becomes a book (that is the only sections which have not yet been researched).
So for the next 85 days, don't be sad if I can't because I'm writing. It's #PhdorBust time, and Im not too keen on failure!
Keep checking in about the progress - there's even more great MEXICAN NYC material to come!
